This PML pan fits 2001 to present Chevrolet & GMC full size trucks with the Allison 1000 5 & 6 speed automatic transmission. This transmission is found in the Silverado & Sierra 2500HD & 3500 with the Duramax diesel and 8.1 liter gas engines.

This pan may also fit 2006 and 2007 H1 Hummers. Please check carefully for fit and interference on this vehicle.

The pan has a boss that can be machined for a temperature sensor.

Filters and Filter Supports

The transmission pan features filter supports that are an integral part of the floor. The filter supports are designed to be easy to alter.

Out of the box the filter supports are set up to work with the shallow stock filter (OEM part number 29537514 or Allison part number 29537965). The supports can also be shortened to work with the deeper filter that Allison offers (part number 29537966) for this transmission. For the larger filter you'll need to cut the filter supports at the line designed into them for that purpose.

After cutting the supports you'll have to make sure you use the deeper filter from then on as the stock filter would fall out of the valve body.

May 2012 Update: A customer has reported that the deeper filter part number 29537966 is now obsolete and the recommended replacement filter part number 29542824 does not work. We are looking into this. Please call or email if you need more information or have information.

2004 Silverado 2500HD

John Brown installed our Allison transmission pan on his 2004 Chevy Silverado, 2500HD Duramax. He selected the black powder coat finish. Our thanks to John for sending us the images.

Sun Coast Converters

This image shows the PML transmission pan on a transmission built by Sun Coast Converters. The pan is cut-away so the picture shows the filter supports holding the filter. The filter is the shallow stock filter so the filter supports are at full height.
