This conversion involves the removal of the stock engine, transmission, and transfer case and replacing them with a brand new Duramax Engine and an Allison Heavy Duty 5-speed Transmission accompanied by a selectable 2-wheel-drive and 4-wheel-drive transfer case. Different conversions take different amounts of time which depend on upgrades and other options. Simple conversions may take 4 days while extensive conversions may take several weeks. Some custom options available are: paint, suspension, interior work, exterior styling options, and theme-related builds. Teaka Truck's Duramax Conversion will allow you to operate your rig in a 2-wheel-drive/ 4-wheel-drive selectable fashion, which can increase your fuel economy up to 22 miles per gallon. The conversion replaces and adds many items on your vehicle such as a new intercooler, fuel cooler, Duramax Wiring Harness, Modofied ECM, and much more.
The Duramax Engine
The Duramax engine is a 6600 Diesel V8, not to mention one of the most powerful in its line. Rated at 300HP at 3100 RPM and 520 lb.-ft. of torque at 1800 RPM stock, it is able to produce up to 800HP and 1400 lb.-ft. of torque by Teaka Truck's diesel engineers. With a case hardened block, one-piece aluminum crankcase, and one-piece aluminum bell-housing to help reduce noise, vibration, and harshness, don't be surprised if it outperforms your expectations.
Allison Transmission
Precise, efficient, smoother, and faster shifting is what the Allison Transmission is all about. An advanced system of electronic communication between itself and your engine gives you a fully automatic and durable transmission. This is the ideal transmission to mount up to the 6.6L Duramax diesel engine. Some features include Grade Braking which gives you more control while driving down-hill, Adaptive Shift Control which learns how you're currently driving and changes it's shifting pattern to match, and a Fuel Economy System which shifts at just the right time for optimum efficiency.
Performance Upgrades
Performance upgrades are available to tailor to the customer's needs rangins from 450HP to 800HP and 1400 lb.-ft. of torque.
