The Goodwin Assist is a new vehicle technology that converts Hummer vehicles into highly efficient bolt-on hybrids. With 150,000 attendees on the first day of the 2012 SEMA show, the Goodwin Assist Hummer is getting plenty of exposure and interest with its revolutionary technology. Saving fuel costs at 50 miles per gallon and the hybrid technology supporting our environment, the Hybrid bolt-on solution is at the forefront of Vehicle green technology.
Goodwin Assist hybrid kit components include a state of the art electric motor, system controller, and a modular lithium ion battery pack which can be plugged into any standard 110-outlet to store inexpensive power from the grid. It then applies that stored energy via the electric motor to assist the internal combustion engine and the use of fossil fuel. This dual approach can provide a savings of 75 cents per gallon!
The Goodwin Assist reads the engine performance and increases the assist when the internal combustion engine will benefit most from a fuel saving perspective such as frequent starts and stops. This hybrid assist is comprised mostly of approved off-the-shelf components from industry leading automotive providers. Once converted, the vehicles fuel cost is cut in half or more.
The conversion process is simple and requires no major changes to the existing motor.
