This Tire Carrier pivots on two high quality ball bearings, not to be mistaken with lesser quality bushings which tend to flex. The hinge alone is rated at a whopping 2 thousand pounds! In the event of a flat tire, simply open your carrier, pull the stainless steel push pin and drop the carrier arm to the ground. Changing a tire has never been easier! To open and close the carrier simply press the button on the latch. We have also improved your safety by including a built in keyed lock to the latch. Our carrier includes a license plate bracket and light, two keys for your Locking Spare Carrier, and jack mounting plate when relocating your spare to the carrier. Backed by a 3 year 36,000 mile warranty for years of trouble free use.
