This Tire Carrier pivots on two high quality ball bearings, not to be mistaken with lesser quality bushings which tend to flex. The hinge alone is rated at a whopping 2 thousand pounds! In the event of a flat tire, simply open your carrier, pull the stainless steel push pin and drop the carrier arm to the ground. Changing a tire has never been easier! To open and close the carrier simply press the button on the latch. We have also improved your safety by including a built in keyed lock to the latch.
