The Car Clip Strap Set allows you to use car top carriers on vehicles without luggage racks. The Car Clip Straps attach to any available ledge on the door frame of your vehicle. A ledge can be found along the top of the door frame, over or under the rubber weather molding, or under the rain gutters on the top of the door. Any ledge that will fit into the 5/8” W opening of the “J-hook” will work. Once the straps are tightened over the carrier, the hooks pull into place and the vehicle door closes over the hooks/straps.

The Car Clip Strap Set comes standard with the Sport Jr. Car Top Carrier, but can be used to attach any of our car top carriers to your vehicle. Each set is comprised of (2) straps, 1" W and over 10' L with an 800 lb breaking capacity. The straps are fashioned from nylon webbing, not polypropylene webbing like those used on cheaply made carriers. They are even treated with a waterproof coating. The Car Clip Strap Set has been a safe and reliable strapping method, used by our customers for many years.
